Lay of the Land

Remember when you were younger, in grade school and every school year your teacher would tell you to write the same thing; “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Usually a lot of children would write about becoming doctors, lawyers and scientist. And to be quite honest every year I wanted to be something different. Up until High School I had only a little idea as to what interested me. It wasn’t until I started college I figured out what I wanted to be.

Since I can remember, science has always been of great interest to me. But I’d also seek interest in banking. I think it had something to do with the sophisticated attire of a banker. In school, math and science were always my favorite subjects. I would always focus so much more in those classes.

As I got older I still enjoyed it; hitting high school I had got into my school’s Medical Technician program. I learned so much in that program and that’s when I started to think about entering the medical field. My problem was; I didn’t know what I would focus on in that field. Starting to get more into it I decided that I was really interested in forensics. Watching CSI was so encouraging for me to get into it. Also, if I still want to keep with my financial and forensics area I can go into Forensic Accounting. And that too has caught my attention; and to me I think is a pretty good field to get into. It grabs my attention really well.
